NEW Go Spike work experience opportunities
Two new work experience opportunities are now open for applications. The roles will work with the Go Spike brand to develop programmes and initiatives to get more people aged 16+ playing all forms of volleyball.
We are looking for hard working, enthusiastic and creative people to get stuck into these projects.
If you are passionate about encouraging more people to play sport, why not take a look? These placements will provide you with a great opportunity to learn more about the industry, create projects for participation, and put your learnings into action.
The two new roles are:
- Go Spike League Assistant. This year saw the launch of the first Go Spike Workplace League, involving ten London-based charities. The pilot scheme and matches took place in Hyde Park, and were deemed a great success. Working alongside the Adult Participation Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and administrating the second year of the Go Spike London Charities League, in addition to any new leagues.
- FIVB Beach Activation Programme Coordinator. In 2014, Volleyball England secured a significant grant from the FIVB/CEV to support and develop beach volleyball activity. Volleyball England is looking to appoint and to support the FIVB Go Spike Beach Activation Programme, now in its second year. You will help with the administration and coordination of the programme, and build effective relationships with beach volleyball facilities.
Work Experience opportunities at Volleyball England can open doors to the future – you can improve your CV, develop your skills, and gain experience of working in a thriving National Governing Body. Interns have gone on to secure full time employment at Volleyball England, the Youth Sport Trust, and even the recent Rugby World Cup.
To apply for these project based placements, and for any other Work Experience opportunities, please complete the Application Form and return to Hannah Winsbury, Membership and Business Support Officer by Friday 15th January 2016.
Please note – all work experience placements are entirely voluntary, and Volleyball England are unfortunately not able to reimburse any expenses, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, or sustenance.
